Based on the work presented on social media, a customer contacted me with a request to paint a portrait of her dog (Nero) in the mountains. It was important to authentically capture not only the dog, but also the mountain environment. The size of the painting is 70×50 cm.
This portrait of a Dalmatian was taken after another customer saw a portrait of a husky on social media. She wanted to immortalize her beloved dog, who is very far away from her and whose presence she would like to be reminded of. The size of the image is also 70×50 cm.
A customer saw my paintings depicting scenes or characters from Lord of the Rings and approached me with a request to paint one of the spectacular scenes from the movie of the same name. We eventually settled on the elven dwelling of Rivendell (a shot of Minas Tirith, for example, was also in the cards). I gave the customer several suggestions for the size of the painting and together we chose 70×120 cm, so that the scene would fit comfortably on it and so that it would also fit in the customer's room.
A married couple approached me with a request to paint the Torre de Hercules lighthouse in Spain, where they got engaged. Based on their photos, I developed several compositions with different views of the lighthouse, the height of the horizon and the location of the road leading to it. We then agreed on what the sky would look like. It was to be dominated by a deep blue colour, but also a few clouds. The size of the painting is 90×60 cm.
After the customer saw my painting of Spartan, he decided on the same size painting (120x80cm), but depicting Michael the Archangel defeating the devil. It was a black and white treatment of the subject using a thicker layer of paint applied with a palette knife. The Spartan was painted in the same way. The customer also asked me to frame the painting. Based on the proposals, he chose a decorative silver and black frame that matched the subject of the painting.
A customer approached me with a request to paint a forest with deer at sunrise. She wanted to give it to her friends who had moved into a new place and were furnishing their home. I worked out the composition, we agreed on the number of animals, their placement, as well as the depiction of details (fallen trunk, puddle, pebbles). For example, a special requirement was that the trees should have very many branches. It was a 70×100 cm dimension. In this case, the frame was chosen by a married couple who received the painting as a gift.
